Pasquetta

In Italy and Sardinia Easter is an almost bigger event than Christmas. And Monday, after everything is over, it’s pasquetta. A day in the name of the countryside, friends, and food…

EVERYONE puts on their heavy boots and goes out in the countryside to feast with their friends, Preferably on a small farm or as a pick-nick in a beautiful spot. Maybe you’ll have the opportunity to try some farmer shores, cuddle some animals or give it a go with an air gun! For me, this day has always meant the last party with my friends before going to Sweden for the summer season. This year we were supposed to leave this Thursday, but we’ll stay here for another while…who knows for how long?
Yesterday we celebrated Pasquetta at home only the four of us. Outside was a heavy chirocco wind so we could hardly get out of the door either…. which made me dream of previous years…. so here I’ll give you a bit to taste!
